Fetal Weight Percentile Calculator Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Fetal Weight Percentile Calculator (the "Service"), a web-based fetal weight percentile calculator. In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. English Version Controls
These English Terms are the controlling terms for the Service. Localized legal notices may be provided for convenience and to highlight important points in other languages. Those localized notices are summaries only and are not complete translations of these Terms.
If a localized notice conflicts with these English Terms, these English Terms will control to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights, remedies, or protections that cannot be waived under applicable law.
2. What the Service Does
The Service is a lightweight web calculator. It lets users enter gestational age, estimated fetal weight, and optional fetal sex reference information to display:
- a reference-based fetal weight percentile;
- a chart position against selected reference curves;
- the reference data source, data type, gestational age range, and source version;
- an option to save or share a result image or share text through browser or device features.
The Service is intended for quick informational reference and is limited to the calculator, reference display, and result save/share features described in these Terms. The Service does not create a user account, store health records on our server, provide clinical monitoring or emergency support, or provide direct communication with health professionals.
3. Medical and Health Disclaimer
The Service is not a medical device, clinical decision support system, diagnosis tool, treatment tool, prevention tool, or substitute for professional medical advice.
The Service does not diagnose fetal growth restriction, macrosomia, pregnancy complications, disease, risk, normality, abnormality, or any other medical condition. The Service does not tell you whether a fetus is healthy, unsafe, at risk, or in need of treatment.
The results are for general informational reference only. You should not make medical, pregnancy, treatment, hospital visit, medication, delivery, or emergency decisions based only on the Service.
Always consult a qualified physician, obstetrician, midwife, or other appropriate health professional about questions concerning pregnancy, fetal growth, ultrasound measurements, symptoms, test results, or medical care. If you believe there is an emergency, contact local emergency services or seek urgent medical care immediately.
4. Calculation and Reference Data Limitations
The Service uses published or curated fetal growth, estimated fetal weight, or birth-weight reference datasets. Different reference datasets may produce different percentiles for the same input.
Estimated fetal weight is itself an estimate and may vary based on ultrasound method, fetal position, measurement quality, gestational dating, equipment, clinician technique, and other factors. A percentile result from the Service may differ from a clinician's assessment or from another calculator.
Some reference data may be based on estimated fetal weight, while other reference data may be based on birth-weight statistics. Where the Service uses birth-weight statistics as a comparison reference, the Service should not be understood as converting that data into a fetal ultrasound standard.
The Service may cap displayed percentile labels. For example, values below the 10th percentile may be displayed as "10th percentile or below," and values above the 90th percentile may be displayed as "90th percentile or above." This display policy is intended to avoid over-precise interpretation and does not change the underlying uncertainty of the data.
Reference datasets may be incomplete, may be updated, may contain extraction or normalization errors, or may not match your country, population, fetal sex, plurality, clinical history, or pregnancy circumstances. The Service may be unavailable or inaccurate.
5. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- entering values accurately;
- checking whether you are using the correct ultrasound measurement, gestational age, and unit;
- understanding that the result is not medical advice;
- discussing any concern with a qualified health professional;
- deciding whether to save, copy, or share a result image or share text;
- complying with applicable laws when using the Service.
Do not use the Service to provide medical advice to others, make clinical decisions for others, operate a healthcare service, train a medical model, or represent that the Service is approved for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or clinical decision-making.
6. Privacy

The Service is designed so that calculator inputs are processed in the browser and are not intentionally stored on our server. However, technical information such as browser requests, IP address, user agent, language settings, referrer information, hosting/CDN logs, or functional event metadata may be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
When you choose to save, copy, or share a result, the information may be processed by your browser, device operating system, clipboard, download folder, messaging app, social app, cloud storage app, or other third-party service that you choose. Those third parties are not controlled by us.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service may use third-party services for hosting, content delivery, fonts, analytics, advertising configuration, browser sharing features, or other operational functions. Third-party services may process information under their own terms and policies.
The Service may display or reserve advertising placements in the future. The Service should not send gestational age, estimated fetal weight, percentile values, fetal sex, raw search queries containing health inputs, memo text, photo names, or result image contents as advertising or analytics payloads.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its interface, text, software, design, and compiled data presentation, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Reference datasets and source publications may be owned by their respective authors, publishers, institutions, or licensors. Source names are provided for transparency and do not imply endorsement unless expressly stated.
You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, resell, frame, reverse engineer, or create a competing service from the Service except as permitted by applicable law or with our written permission.
9. Service Availability and Changes
We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time. We may update reference datasets, calculation policies, display labels, supported languages, or features.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, available in every location, or compatible with every device or browser.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
We do not warrant that results from the Service are accurate, complete, current, clinically appropriate, or suitable for your individual circumstances. We do not warrant that any reference dataset is appropriate for your pregnancy, country, population, medical history, or clinical needs.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or reliance on informational results.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited, fraud, statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. User Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, violation of applicable law, or use of the Service to provide advice or services to another person.
This section does not require you to indemnify us for our own intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or liability that cannot be shifted under applicable law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will replace the prior version when made available through the Service. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice appropriate to the nature of the Service.
14. Governing Law
Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law rules.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer protection rights or mandatory jurisdiction rules that apply in your place of residence.
